o Susan will be one of 31 artists exhibiting her work in March at the Patuxent Wildlife Art Show and Sale held at the National Wildlife Visitor Center in Laurel, MD.   The show will be March 24th and 25th. For details, click on Galleries, Shows & Shops at the top of this page.

o   Susan is planning a week of bird photography in the area of Tarpon Springs, FL, in January. She visited this same area last summer and got some outstanding shots. Photography expeditions in previous years to Everglades National Park and wildlife sanctuaries along Florida's southwest coast have also yielded a number of wonderful photographs.  Many of the birds and animals in these parks are common throughout the Southeast.

o If you will be visiting Edisto anytime between mid-March and Mid-November, we will be showing Susan's photographs at the new Art & Craft Market at Bay Creek Park next to the Edisto Marina most Wednesdays.   The market will be open every Wednesday unless pre-empted by a larger event at the park. Click on Galleries, Shows & Shops at the top of this page for the market dates in whatever month you will be visiting. And, we'll look forward to seing you!

o   Each fall, the Edisto Island Historic Preservation Society hosts a tour of historic homes on Edisto Island.   In this connection, a tour artist is chosen to provide the artwork used to create the tour poster and to illustrate the tour booklet.   Traditionally, that artist has been a painter.  The year 2011 was different. Susan's photography was used to produce the poster and tour booklet. In its announcement, EIHPA wrote, "photography is a new artistic medium for the tour booklet and poster, but it's one that we think is an exciting departure for us."   In conjunction with this, Susan's photographs were on exhibit at the museum from September 13 through the end of October.

o We've improved our web site to make it much easier for you to choose and order photos. When you click on one of the photos in our galleries, you'll be taken to our storefront where you'll see a much larger image of the photograph. There, you can choose the size you are interested in, click on that and have opportunity to add the matted photo or, alternatively, the framed photo to your shopping basket. When you're ready to check out, you can complete your shopping right there.

You can now order our 2012 Edisto Island Engagement Calendar directly from this website. Most of the photographs featured in the new calendar were taken expressly for the calendar. We've also included tide tables for the benefit of local fishermen, a 2013 calendar for reference, and space to write notes. To order one, just click on the photograph of the calendar. But hurry! As of January 4, we have fewer than 20 calendars left.

o We now have fine art giclee prints available for six of Susan's photographs and can have giclees made of most of the others. Our fine art giclees, which are usually done as 16x24 prints mounted in 24x32 achival quality mats, are printed on fine-art quality watercolor paper. We have made two photographs into giclee prints as large as 22x33 matted in a 29x40 rag mat. By special request, our fine art giclees also can be printed on canvas.
